“A murder is announced and will take place on Friday, October 13, at Little Paddocks – at 6.30 pm.”

This is the newspaper advert which spurs a group of residents of Chipping Cleghorn to meet at the place of the crime at the appointed time.

When the lights go out a gun is fired. World famous consulting detective Miss Marple is quickly called in to solve the mystery, but can she untangle the complex series of relationships and events and find the killer?
