Bands are drumming up support for a children’s hospice.

A fundraising gig entitled Bluebell Woodstock will be held at Real Time Live, Chesterfield, on Sunday, September 13, from 4pm to 9pm.

Acts lined up to perform include Acorn Roots, Barnie Rubblz, Paul Sawyer, James Oakley and comedian Jared Shooter.

The event has been set up by Sam Measures who is running a number of events in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in Dinnington.

Sam, who lives in Inkersall and plays bass in Acorn Roots, said: “My sister-in-law Claire Neale teaches at schools for children with special needs and they have dealt with many children who have received respite care at Bluebell Wood. She let me know about the great job that they do there.”

Admission to Bluebell Woodstock is £5.
