Don your finest timeless outfits and join a vintage soiree.

The stylish soiree in a marquee on Bakewell showground on August 14 at 7pm will launch the second Bakewell Baking Festival.

Festival organiser Paul Morgans said “We are really looking forward to this party with a vintage twist, opening what will be a fantastic weekend in Bakewell.

“We are encouraging the Bakewell Baking Festival campers to come along, as well as locals and visitors. We are also very pleased to be able to help Bakewell charity Helen’s Trust in raising much needed funds to support people across north Derbyshire with terminal illness to stay at home.”

Matlock based vintage fashion aficionados Bella Figura will showcase dresses worn by domestic goddesses of the 1940sand 50s in a catwalk show. Music will be provided by Vintage 78 DJs in the form of authentic shellac discs played through 1930s gramophones, and The Bespoke Bartender will mix up cocktails to suit every palate.
