The Summer Nights Film Festival 2013 will see a selection of classic and contemporary films screened at National Trust locations throughout the area in August and September.

Presented on a giant screen by Quad, the Derby-based centre for art and film, Summer Nights offers the chance to enjoy the great outdoors for a unique cinematic experience.

Four National Trust venues in Derbyshire, plus Wollaton Hall in Nottinghamshire, have been announced as taking part, and the screenings have now been confirmed.

They are:

Psycho (15) at Calke Abbey on Friday, August 9

Les Misérables (12A) at Calke Abbey on Saturday, August 10

Mamma Mia (PG) at Kedleston Hall on Friday, August 16

Quartet (12A) at Kedleston Hall on Saturday, August 17

Les Misérables (12A) at Sudbury Hall on Saturday, August 24

Skyfall (12A) at Hardwick Hall on Friday, August 30

Grease (PG) at Hardwick Hall on Saturday, August 31

Les Misérables (12A) at Wollaton Hall on Friday, September 6

Batman: The Dark Knight Rises at Wollaton Hall on Saturday, September 7.

Film titles have been picked from some of the Oscar successes of 2012 and 2013, and tickets for the screenings are now available to book in advance.

Emily Rapley from the National Trust said: “We are really pleased to again be part of the Summer Nights festival.

“The films screened at our places last year were really well received and everyone had great fun.”

Adam Buss from Quad added: “We are really pleased to be bringing back Summer Nights Film Festival in 2013. We had such positive feedback about last years’ festival and great attendances and once again we are blessed with fabulous locations.”
