Masterchef judge John Torode is just one of the TV chefs lined up for this year’s Festival of Food and Drink at Clumber Park later this month.

The event at the country estate takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20.

John is best known as the straight-talking co-host and judge of 11 seasons of BBC1’s MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and Junior MasterChef, as well as writing a number of hugely popular cookbooks with his new book, My Kind of Food, coming soon.

Bev Channell, festival organiser, said: “John’s knowledge of food and passion for great flavours makes him a perfect addition to this year’s line-up. We’re thrilled to have him make his Clumber Park debut in September.”

John will be joined in the festival’s Cookery Theatre by Great British Bake Off semi-finalist Chetna Makan, with the pair performing demonstrations, as well as signing autographs and offering advice to baking enthusiasts.

Now in its third year, the Festival of Food and Drink has developed a following of top-quality food and drink producers, artisan specialists and food experts.

There are also interactive classes for both children and adults from the School of Artisan Food, covering everything from barbecuing to butchery for adults, and pizza, bread and ice-cream making for the children. There are book signings, a children’s play area, the Beautiful Things gift and homewares marquee, a new live music stage, and plenty of food and drink to try and buy.

It is a feast for the senses and a great day out for all the family.

New for 2015 is a VIP experience, offering priority free parking right by the show entrance, fast-track entry, and access to an exclusive VIP area where you can relax. VIPs will also enjoy a ‘meet and greet’ with one of the festival’s special guests.

Adult tickets start from just £6 in advance with free entry for children aged six years and under. VIP tickets are £15 in advance, while family tickets are also available. Advance bookings also receive free car parking at Clumber Park. For more, or to book tickets, visit www.festivaloffoodanddrink.co.uk
