Quad’s Summer Nights Outdoor Film Festival is back and kicks off at Kedleston Hall this weekend.
The first screening in the season is to be the cult party film, Rocky Horror Picture Show (12A) with its cast of misfits and catchy sci-fi inspired tunes including Dammit Janet and the Time Warp. It takes place on Friday, July 25.
Then, at the same venue, you can see Alfonso Cuaron’s film Gravity (12A), the winner of seven Oscars, on Saturday, July 26.
Gravity is a tale of two astronauts, played by Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, who must help each other survive when an accident leaves them stranded in space. Doors are open from 7pm for both screenings.

(PG) at Belton House on September 13.
Back for its fourth year, Quad’s Summer Nights Film Festival 2014 builds on the success of the festivals in 2012 and 2013 which welcomed thousands of people. Summer Nights 2014 presents a selection of classic and contemporary films and to locations in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire. Presented by Quad, Derby’s centre for art and film, Summer Nights offers the chance to enjoy the great outdoors for a unique cinematic experience.
