This summer is promising one of the liveliest and biggest parties ever seen at Chesterfield’s showpiece Proact Stadium.
Top of the bill is the mighty rapper Tinie Tempah with a supporting crew of Lawson, Labrinth, Ms. Dynamite and Katy B.
Union J are also booked for Party At The Proact on June 8 and can’t wait to play their first show in Chesterfield.
Jaymi Hensley from the boy band said: “I am really looking forward to it.
“I am loving that we are playing at the stadium...it will be summer in the open air, the weather will be good, the atmosphere will be great.
“I am so excited to be on the same bill as Tinie Tempah. I love his music and I can’t wait to hear him.
“Hopefully, we’ll have a new single coming out by then. We have written some songs and are ready for recording.”
“Union J have done a few stadiums. We performed in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley stadium last summer which was amazing. It was our first stadium show to promote our first single, Carry Me....a definite highlight.
Jaymi said: “Our fans mean everything to us. Without them, we wouldn’t have got on in X-Factor.” Union J were mentored by Louis Walsh and reached fourth place in X-Factor in 2012.
Jaymi said: “We have a good relationship with Louis, he is a good friend and a very caring man.”
Tickets for Party in the Park are priced from £35 (plus booking fee), available from Chesterfield FC box office on 01246 209765 or via www.ticketmaster.co.uk (phone 0844 844 0444).
