An Evening With Neil Sedaka is to take place at the Royal Concert Hall Nottingham on Tuesday, November 4, at 7.30pm.
The history of rock ‘n’ roll would be incomplete without the innumerable contributions of Neil Sedaka.
For over 50 years, Neil has written, performed, produced, and inspired countless songs, and his canon of compositions will continue to stand the test of time.
This autumn will see Sedaka play seven special dates in the UK, starting at the London Royal Albert Hall and finishing at the Nottingham Royal Concert Hall.
Neil commented: “It’s always a joy to come back to the UK, where it all turned around for me in the 70s. My most loyal fanbase is here and they have always been the most supportive of my work. Can’t wait to sing the classics, as well as some new ones!“
Acknowledged as a musical genius (Sedaka clocked up over 25 million records before he was 23), Neil’s undiminished soundscape has remained relevant across decades and genres and his numerous honours include a Grammy (and five nominations), a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, inductions into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, National Academy of Popular Music Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award and BMI Awards.
His many hit singles include Oh Carol, Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen, Solitaire, Calendar Girl, Little Devil and Next Door To An Angel. He has also seen his songs sung and turned into hits by the likes of Tony Christie, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Connie Francis and the Carpenters.
Tickets are £50-£45, available via www.trch.co.uk
