AT the British Lifesaving Sport pool championships in Cardiff held on March 26 and 27, a small Rascals squad of 20 swimmers achieved big results as they won 13 medals and finished eighth from 22 competing clubs.
National champions are Jessica Lockwood and George Spendlove both 13 years and Josie Lockwood 17 years.
George won two gold medals, Jessica gold and four silver and elder sister Josie gold and two bronze.
The SURF GB championships test the skill and strength of young lifesavers from 8-18years, hosting the Nipper championships on the Saturday and the Youth categories on the Sunday. Competition was fierce but congratulations go to Rascal bronze medallists Olivia Broughton, Anthony Mason, and Emily Allsop.
The squad produced some fantastic results for a small club, the best in the Midlands!
