AS the 2011 season enters its final quarter, all three Langley Mill teams have an excellent chance of gaining promotion. The firsts have the toughest task with their league being so tight that any of the teams could still get promoted.

On Saturday, the firsts welcome Trentside to Station Road. After looking likely to romp away with the title a few weeks ago, the visitors, not unlike Langley Mill, have faltered. Trentside now sit in fifth spot, just two points and one position below the Millers, so this is another must win game for the hosts.

The seconds travel to Tibshelf for a game against strugglers Chesterfield Barbarians. The hosts are in a tense relegation battle and won’t want to lose this one, but the Millers are on top form and ought to brush aside this opposition and maintain pressure on leaders Sandiacre Town.

The Sunday side have a make or break couple of weeks. Currently top of their league, the Millers travel to third placed Anston, followed by a first visit to second placed Frecheville Community.

Anston have progressed along with the Millers up the Mansfield League ladder and games between the two sides are always keenly fought affairs. Anston will need to beat the Millers if they are to stay in the promotion race but if the Millers can nick this one, they will be well placed to pick up the Section Four title.

All three games are 1.30pm.
