Ripley Running Club had eight members take part in the Hardwick Hall six-mile road race which had runners racing around the surrounding areas of Pilsley.
There were 172 runners and Ripley had five men and three ladies take part in the race which has been held almost every year since 1981.
Dean Taylor was first back for Ripley in sixth position in a time of 36.32. Next back for Ripley was Lucy Holmes in 15th place and second lady (40.59), the next three Ripley runners came home within 20 seconds of each other, Ryan Ball in 31st (43.06), Simon English 34th (43.14) and Paul Manning in 35th (43.25).
Tim Jaques was 53rd (45.30) in 100th place was Anne Cook (50.45) and Amy Bradley was in 136th place (56.30).
Last Friday saw the inaugural Heanor Jubilee 10k race which was situated and started and finished at Shipley Park and followed paths around the parkland and surrounding areas.
First back for Ripley was Luke Beresford in 55th position (50.32) followed by Stevie Thomas in 63rd place (52.04), Matt Beresford was in 64th position with the same time (52.04)and Wayne Smith was in 69th place (52.44).
There were 119 runners.
Ripley Running Club meet every Tuesday evening at the leisure centre at 6.45pm, runners of all abilities are very welcome.
