The Derby A Team finished second in the Gross event to Balby College with the Derby B Team winning the Net event.

Kedleston Park Golf Club duo Alex Harlow 77-5-72 and Jack Crumpton 77-5-72 led the way for Derby B posting net 72s, with Josh Williams 76-3-73 (Chevin Golf Club) and Sam Millar 82—7-75 (Chilwell Manor) supporting.

The Derby B Team finished second in the Gross event led by Jordan Barker 75 (Kedleston Park), Will Painter 75 (Kedleston Park), Will Davidson 80 (Breadsall Priory) and Nathan Lee 81 (Ashbourne).

Nigel Furnuss, programme manager of the college’s Performance Golf Academy Derby, which is based at Morley Hayes, said: “This was good result for the B team with some consistent and improving performances. Alex Harlow, Jack Crumpton and Josh Williams all put in solid performances. The A team were outclassed by Balby and really need a win in Round Three.”

Derby College now top Net league in the Midland Group of the British Schools and Colleges Golf Tour and are second to Balby in the Gross.
