Heanor Taekwon-Do School students achieved an impressive haul of medals when they took part in the recent North Midlands Championships.
The ages of the six students involved from the school range from 10 to 14.
They are: Emily Weston - gold in girls black belt tag team sparring and silver in girls black belt individual sparring
Madeleine Kirby - bronze in girls blue belt individual sparring
Dominik Tatarczuch - silver in boys green belt individual sparring
Harrison Stubbs - gold in boys yellow belt tag team sparring and gold in boys yellow belt individual sparring
Keane Baldwin - gold in boys yellow belt tag team sparring
George Wing - gold in boys yellow belt tag team sparring and Silver in boys yellow belt individual sparring.
This is the first competition for most of the students, and all have done extremely well representing the club.
Andrew Morton, 3rd degree black belt, who is the instructor of Heanor TaeKwon-Do, won bronze himself in the men’s black belt tag team sparring, while Laura Morton, 3rd degree black belt, also won wilver in the black belt ladies tag team sparring.
The club runs on Tuesdays from 7pm-8pm and Fridays from 6.15pm-7.15pm, at Heanor Town Hall.
