Students of the Belper and Heanor PKA Kickboxing Clubs have brought home another impressive medals haul at their latest interclub tournament.

They took home one gold and three silver, finishing second out of the eight clubs taking part.

35 fighters attended the event held at the William Gregg VC Leisure Centre, competing in semi-contact points and light continuous bouts. Glen Dolphin took the fighter of the night award for the excellent skill and control shown, as well as a gold and silver medal from his matches.

Instructor Neil Fletcher said: “I’m so proud of everone who took part and came along to cheer on their classmates. These local friendly events are a great opportunity for the clubs to come together and have some fun. Everyone showed fantastic ability and fully deserve their medals.
