Ripley-based Jog Derbyshire’s family-friendly trail runs at the National Trust’s Kedleston Hall have proved a hit and will continue in 2014.
Launched in April, more than 350 joggers have crossed the start line of the parkland course,
That includes more than 80 runners who took part in the festive ‘Tinsel Trail’ Christmas run.
Donated entry fees raised £150 for the Derby charity, The Padley Group, which supports the socially excluded in our local community.
The first run of 2014 will be on Sunday, January 19. Held every month on a Sunday morning in the spectacular grounds of the Kedleston Hall near Derby, runners can choose from a three, two or one- mile course with a rolling start, with registration open between 9.15am and 9.45am or the option of running with a Jog Leader at 9.30am.
Jog Derbyshire Project Manager Cathy Rooney said: “It’s a proved a very successful partnership, working with the National Trust as part of their campaign to get people to reconnect with the great outdoors and provide activities that families can enjoy together.”
