Amber Valley Hornets overwhelmed Matlock III to win 9-0.
The match started in an even fashion, but three first half goals swept the Hornets into a commanding position.
Matlock tried to get back in to the game, but Tracey Harris, Kate Salt and Deb Elliott defending well to keep chances at a premium for Matlock.
A penalty corner towards the end of the first half saw Vicki Wain feed Jennie Bowmer who slotted the ball home for her first league goal for the Hornets.
With no available substitutes the Hornets were forced to play the second half with 10 players due to injury which led to a change in formation.
Straight from the whistle Jennie Bowmer went on a jinking run, found Charlotte Welsby on the 25 who fed Sarah Joyce in the D to score.
This set out the Hornets intentions and, as Alex Ormston and Emily Hall worked the ball forward from either side of midfield, Abi Grocutt offered a new dimension to the Hornets attack with some good runs from right back.
Matlock continued to feed their forwards who were unable to take advantage of their chances due to Rachael Warner remaining fully alert in the Hornets net.
The final tally for Welsby and Joyce up front was four goals each.
