Shipley Hall 1sts completed a six-wicket win over Denby 2nds on Saturday in Division Three of the Derbyshire County Cricket League.
Shipley Hall won the toss and asked their visitors to bat first.
Denby were eventually dismissed for 155 in 45.4 overs.
Ross Perry-Taylor made a fine 42 at the top of the innings, off 76 balls and including three fours and a six, but no-one else was able to get past 20 in the face of tight and disciplined Shipley Hall bowling.
Matt Murfin led the way with figures of 3-43 while both Graham Farnsworth and James Cokayne took two wickets apiece.
Shipley Hall’s reply was dominated by a superb knock of 93 not out from opener Neil Cox.
He batted throughout the 40.2-over duration of the innings, facing 126 balls and scoring 11 fours and three sixes.
The second highest scorer was extras with a generous 38 as Shipley Hall got some in the 41st over.
This win leaves them unbeaten in the league so far this season, sitting in second position in the division.
