Olympic Torch at Chevin Fell Races

The first of the two annual Milford Chevin Fell Races takes place on Thursday, August 2 at 7.30pm.

The event consists of two races; the first over 3.2km (2miles) with climbs of 97m whilst the longer race is over 7.3km (4.5miles) with 259m of climbing.

By staging a shorter event, the organisers provide the opportunity for youngsters, newcomers and the not-so-fit to take part.

The event HQ is the Social Club in Chevin Road, Milford, the village on the A6 between Belper and Duffield. It is also the base for the second of the fell races, to be held on Wednesday, September 5 when, at 6.30pm, two shorter races will be held; over 2.3km and 4.6km

Details can be found on : www.runningwithdavid.com and entries will be taken on both evenings from one hour before the starting time.

The organiser’s Olympic Torch will be on show at each event and competitors will be able to have their photo taken with the Torch.
