Heanor Running Club holding induction nights

Heanor Running Club will be holding a special induction month for potential new members this September.

Every Tuesday night at 6:45pm throughout the month, interested runners can go along to Shipley Hall Cricket Club to either run or just meet the team and be introduced to one of the most respected clubs in the county.

Whether looking to begin running or already a seasoned runner, Heanor Running Club offers a friendly, structured, safe and enjoyable atmosphere to train with like-minded individuals under UKA-qualified coaches.

Formed in 1982, the club has gone from strength-to-strength since its first meeting of runners at the Market Hotel in Heanor thirty years ago and has achieved success in various individual and team events over the years.

As well as hosting the ever-popular Matthew Walker 10k, Jubilee 10k and other events throughout the year, Heanor Running Club also enjoys a healthy social scene. In addition to participating in the various team events, club members enjoy an annual trip abroad and various social events throughout the year.

The club has seen its membership grow steadily during the past ten years and two years ago saw the reintroduction of a junior section of the club, a development that continues to go from strength-to-strength.

There will be no obligationwhatsoever to join and further information on the induction nights is available from the club’s official website: www.heanorrunninglcub.com or call 07963037991.
