With the Derby Taverners Sunday Football League now on its Christmas and New Year break, FC Heanor were involved in a friendly on Sunday.
They romped to another fine victory, showing their class to defeat Abbey Court 8-2.
FC Heanor put their oppponents to the sword without ever really getting near to what they feel is their top gear.
In the first half, they galloped to a 5-1 lead with some great free flowing football.
As the pitch began to cut up, Heanor showed they could also play the long ball game and bagged another three goals.
Nathan Poyser scored a hat-trick in the game and the other five goals were shared around the team.
Abbey Court play in the league above so not only was it a great win it was also an excellent team performance from FC Heanor, who will be looking to continue their promotion bid once the league season restarts in early January.
FC Heanor train under floodlights every Thursday evening.
