Codnor CC 1sts suffered a defeat on Saturday in Division 4N of the Derbyshire County Cricket League, at the hands of visitors Chesterfield 2nds.
Chesterfield won the toss at Goose Lane and asked the home side to bat first.
Codnor compiled 166-7 from their 46 overs, with the main contributors being Lee Colledge with 53 and an unbeaten 36 from Neil Sparham.
In reply, Chesterfield raced to 170-4 inside 30 overs to win the game by six wickets.
As for Codnor 2nds, they were involved in a low-scoring draw with Denby 4ths in Division 8N of the DCCL.
Batting first after losing the toss to their hosts, Codnor compiled 111-5 from their 46 overs.
Opener Mark Woolley top scored with 36 and James Melbourne chipped in with 21 not out.
In reply, Denby held on by the narrowest of margins for a draw, ending on 93-9 off their 46 overs.
Opener Christopher Bott was the top scorer with 24 while all of the Codnor bowlers made life difficult for the Denby batsmen in their quest for victory.
Simon Arnold took 3-24 in his 14 overs, while James Melbourne took 2-32, Adam Soar a miserly 2-12 from nine overs and Joey Leo 1-16 from six overs.
