Belper Meadows test for Langley Mill seconds

As with pretty much the rest of the county, ast week’s games were a wash out for both Langley Mill United CC teams and therefore six points each.

This weekend sees the Millers’ second XI entertain Belper Meadows second XI at Station Road.

The game has a 1.30pm start.

Earlier on in the season, Belper got the share of the spoils from a winning draw.

With the Millerscurrently on top of the Derbyshire County League CN Wright (Codnor) Butchers Division Five North, they will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten league record and make sure there will be no repeat result as they go in search of the title.

Langley Mill first XI travel to Sandiacre for a first visit in well over ten years.

Earlier on in the season this game was also a washout, but last year in the Marston’s Cup, there was a cracking game with Sandiacre just edging it.

This Sunday the second team host Allestree in a rearranged Wright Cup quarter final tie and both sides will be going all out to reach the last four fo the competition.

This tie starts at 1.30pm.

The Millers’ third team are set to face Coal Aston at a venue to be announced as the second team take precedence at home.
