Alfreton CC 1sts suffered a defeat on Saturday in their second game since returning to the Derbyshire Premier Cricket League.
Like Marehay the week before, they found themselves on the wrong end of a stellar display from Ockbrook and Borrowash’s Australian all-rounder Josh Clarke.
Alfreton batted first and were dismissed for 146 in the 50th over.
Skipper Alex Mace made a good 37 at the top of the order and the other main contributor to the innings was John Aspinall, who again played well to score 61 in the middle order.
Apart from that, only two other batsmen made it into double figures as Josh Clarke took a highly impressive 7-32 from 12.2 overs.
Clarke then proved he was a dab hand at batting too, opening the innings and giving his side a very fine start with 44 from just 51 balls, including six fours and two sixes.
Matthew Cassar with 30 not out and George Morgan, who smashed 55 off just 36 balls, helped their side to a six-wicket win in the 40th over.
Ben Slater did well with the ball for Alfreton, taking 3-36 from 13.4 overs.
