Alfreton Town return to Vanarama National League action on Saturday with a trip to face relegation-threatened Hednesford Town.

The Reds will be looking to extend their unbeaten league run on the road to seven games after a sequence of six successive away wins ended by a 1-1 draw at Worcester City on Tuesday evening.

The hosts only equalised in the fifth minute of added time at the end of the game after Sam Jones had given the Reds the lead with 19 minutes to go.

Manager Nicky Law is likely to be without the services of right back Cliff Moyo who picked up a hip injury in the game at Worcester in midweek but has no other injury or suspension worries.

Hednesford are currently scrapping for their league lives and sit next-to-bottom of the table on goal difference from Corby Town.

The Pitmen have been suffering for form of late and are winless in their last eight league games although they have drawn two of their last four including a share of the spoils from a creditable 2-2 draw in their last outing at Gloucester City.

Victory would still leave Hednesford in the bottom three but an Alfreton win could lift them to eighth in the table.

The Reds can make it a hat-trick of wins against the Staffordshire club having already recorded a 4-0 home win over the Pitmen in the league and a 4-2 win at Keys Park in the FA Cup earlier in the season.

Kick-off at Keys Park is 3pm.
