SMALLEY racer Leon Haslam will be looking to put more points on the board this weekend when he competes in round three of the World Superbike Championship.
The event is being held at Assen in Holland and Haslam will be looking to build on the pair of fourth-place finishes he gained in the second round held at Donington Park late last month.
Haslam secured third and fifth place finishes in round one of the championship and currently sits in third position in the overall rankings with 53 points, behind leader Carlos Checa on 91 points and Marco Melandri on 72 points.
After his Donington results BMW rider Haslam said he believed his quest for more consistency was paying dividends and would be helpful going into the challenge in Holland.
“In the end I simply didn’t have the pace to win but the consistency is certainly starting to show now.”
