Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has made his third capture of the close season with the signing of experienced 6’2’’ defender Michael Wylde on a one-year deal.
Wylde, 26, is a former England C international and began his career as a trainee with Cheltenham Town in January 2006 before moving on to Kidderminster Harriers on loan.
He moved on to Tamworth and was part of the Lambs’ Conference North title winning side in 2008-09.
After three seasons at Tamworth, he joined Cambridge United on a free, penning a two-year contract with the U’s whom he captained, but after an injury-hit spell at the Abbey Stadium he had a short loan spell at AFC Telford United before being released in January 2013.
He returned to Tamworth to see out the remainder of the 2012/13 campaign.
