The DCCL Division One title will be decided on the final weekend of the season, with Marehay currently 22 points ahead of Alfreton with two games remaining.
On Saturday, Marehay were at home to Stainsby Hall and beat their visitors by the comfortable margin of seven wickets.
Marehay skipper Richard Wood won the toss and asked Stainsby Hall to bat first.
They were dismissed for 163 in 48.5 overs.
Tom Morris (62) and Daniel Wood (46 not out) were the main contributors and their stand of 96 was by far the biggest in the innings.
For Marehay, Matthew Doric took 3-33, Gaz Buckley 4-38 and Ben Perry-Taylor 2-38.
When it came to their turn to bat, Marehay lost Daniel Palmer early on but David Buckley (46) and Jonathan Bradder took them to 99 before the former was dismissed.
Bradder was still there at the end on 69 and he was assisted well by James Kyte, who hit 34 from just 17 balls, and hit five sixes during his brief stay at the crease. Victory was achieved in the 30th over.
On Saturday, Marehay are at Alfreton for a potential title deciding game and then on Sunday they welcome Ambergate for the final game of the season.
