Alfreton Juniors U16s 0
Tansley Tigers U16s 3
Three sublime goals ensured Tigers emerged with all three points to record their first away victory of the year.
An awkward fixture was made more difficult as it was played in torrential rain, and on a heavy pitch, but the Tigers were soon in front.
After good work in the middle from Danny Bonsall and Luke Bowling, Ryan Parsley collected a well-worked through ball, and, keeping his composure, rounded the keeper and slotted it into the net for his first of the morning.
The second for Tigers came before the interval when Jameson Ward floated a free-kick over the defensive wall and into the top corner.
Alfreton did push forward but were constantly thwarted by the Tigers defence of Tom Hobday, Jake Mallinder and Eddie Taylor who were all in magnificent form.
The second period again saw the Tigers on the front foot and, with Mike Coxon and Jonno Goodwin bossing the midfield battles, it was only a matter of time before Tigers added a third, and once again it was Ryan Parsley who was on hand to claim his second after collecting a lovely pass from Josh Yeomans.
Tansley keeper Josh Wilks was also called into action as the conditions worsened and the home side pushed for a goal, but he proved unbeatable and recorded a clean sheet for the first time this season.
Tansley substitutes were introduced and both made an impact with James Kaye forcing a great save from the home keeper and Lewis Giles dropping thwarting a home attack.
