THE only game in the top section resulted in a 4-1 away win for in-form WESTWOOD ROYAL on their away day at CORONATION CLUB for whom Dan Storer scored.
Kye Rogers notched a couple for AMBER ATHLETIC who maintained their promotion push from Division Two in disposing of RIDDINGS ROVERS 6-0.
A last minute winner saw RAILWAY (Alfreton) to a 4-3 victory over NORMANTON UNITED. Jay Cooper, Wil Smith, Craig Jeavon and Jamie Briggs each featuring on the scoresheet. Ross Graney and Lee Farnsworth (2) were the visitors’ marksmen.
A single goal from Matt Byard was enough to secure HAYLOFT a 1-0 win at RAILWAY TAVERN, whilst THE WHEEL and HOLMEWOOD MW fought out a 2-2 draw.
In Division Three, MARLPOOL UNITED scored almost at will as they ran riot over ALLIANCE HEALTHCARE. Amongst their scorers were Joe Lloyd, Smith and Jack Bonser who each got two, but the destroyer in-chief was Danny Faulkes who registered a nap hand. Joss Graney got the the home team’s consolation.
BOUNDARY ATHLETIC still lead the way after a 7-0 win against HEANOR STAFFS thanks in particular to a Calun Jenkin hat-trick. Ashley, Dale Carlile, Daniel Noakes and Karl Jones with his first for the club, also helped themselves to goals.
Matt Henshaw shot BULLS HEAD in front, but a Josh Sinclair equaliser meant that his side had to share the spoils with SEVEN STARS.
GLADIATORS are showing signs of improvement and held out for fully 55 minutes before opponents GALLOWS INN managed to breach their defences. However, they added three more late goals to ultimately run out comfortable 4-0 winners.
OUT OF TOWN looked home and hosed after being gifted a penalty kick that was converted to give them what they must have thought to have been a winning 2-0 advantage at HILCOTE MW. The home team are no longer the easy touch of old. They battled back well to rock the visitors and secure a well-earned 2-2 draw following strikes from Jonathan Bingley and Scott Taylor.
CRIB are going through a rough patch and exited the DCFA Cup at the hands of DERBY ATHLETIC who, despite being reduced to 10 men after 25 minutes, had established a two-goal advantage at the break through Sebastian Kelanowski and Ross Webster. Although missing a penalty kick, the rebound was knocked in to give Athletic a 3-0 lead before Crib also had a player sent off. A Tommy Layton strike gave them hope that was extinguished when Kev Morrow wrapped up the scoring in his side’s 4-1 win.
RIPLEY WHITE LION travelled to Buxton where they exited the competition at the hands of GREAT ROCKS; the score line 5-0.
