Ripley Town boss brings keeper Steeples back

Ripley Town manager Paul Lavender has strengthened his squad still further by bringing goalkeeper Ryan Steeples back to the club.

The experienced Steeples has been plying his trade with near neighbours Swanwick Pentrich Road for the past few seasons but has been persuaded to return to Ripley.

Manager Lavender is also expecting to add at least two more new faces to his squad ahead of the big kick-off on August 11.

Meanwhile, Ripley have three forthcoming pre-season friendlies to look forward to. They face Swanwick Pentrich Road away on Wednesday,August 1 (6.30pm), Holbrook St Michaels away on Saturday, August 4 (3pm) and Newton away on Wednesday, August 7 (6.30pm).

The 2012/2013 Midlands Regional Alliance Division One campaign starts on Saturday, August 11 with an away game at Mickleover RBL, 3pm.

The second game is at Wirksworth Ivanhoe on Wednesday, August 15 with a 6.30pm kick-off and completing a hat-trick of away games in the first week is a trip to face Derby Singh Brothers on Saturday, August 18.
