Ripley Rangers Under 11s showed great character to earn a last minute 4-4 draw with Beaufort United. Ripley maintained their unbeaten run but it took a last minute penalty by Man of the Match Charlie Willows.

Ripley conceded in the first minute, but then roared into life with three goals in a scintillating three minute period, Alfie Quinn heading in, Charlie Gilson decisively finishing off a Todd Wells cross and Wells netting a free-kick.

Beaufort struck back midway through the half, and in the second half equalised before taking the lead. A run and shot by Willows saw Ripley score, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

Minutes later Beaufort took the lead with a penalty.

But in the last minute Willows was tripped in the box and remained calm to level from the spot, showing Ripley’s character despite their below par performance.
