gLENN Kirkwood and Craig Hopkins have left Heanor Town FC to become the new managerial duo at Evo-Stik League Division One South side Mickleover Sports.

The news was announced on Saturday as Derby-based Sports moved to fill the gap created when previous manager Dick Pratley lost his job there six weeks ago.

As for the Lions, they have moved swiftly to appoint Jordan Hall as interim player-manager.

Glenn Kirkwood and Craig Hopkins were in charge of the Lions for a total of 165 games, over a period of three and half years, of which 97 were won, 22 drawn and 46 lost.

During this time, the team scored 454 goals and conceded 263, and always played an attacking game.

During this time, they guided the Lions to promotion to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, at the end of last season.
