A brace from Kyle Wadsworth has kept South Normanton Athletic in the Central Midlands League title race after a 3-1 win over Mickleover RBL.
Normanton made a shocking start when Mickleover RBL took the lead through Asa Sippits on just 20 seconds.
On 30 minutes, Kyle Wadsworth had a goal disallowed but six minutes later he levelled for the Shiners.
The second half started well for Normanton with a close effort from Shane Newton. Then on 69 minutes, a touch of
brilliance from Sam Keenan saw him give South Normanton the lead.
It was all Normanton pressure by this stage and it was working when Kyle Wadsworth hit a right-footed strike from 18 yards which beat the keeper on 80 minutes to put South Normanton 3-1 up and which ended the game as a contest, but minutes later
Kyle Wadsworth, the man of the match was sent off for a tackle.
The next game for South Normanton is Bilborough Pelican at home this Saturday (3pm kick off).
South Normanton Athletic have to win the last two games and they win the league.
