Home success again for Swanwick Pentrich Road

SWANWICK Pentrich Road made it nine goals and six points from their last two home games as they saw off Wirksworth Town 4-1 at Highfield Road in the Premier Division.

Guy Wilding netted twice for Swans with Richard Wall and an own goal making up the hosts’ tally.

Rowsley ‘86 also hit four in a 4-1 success over Sandiacre Town. Connor hit a brace and there were further goals from Steve Walker and Liam Allen.

Defending champions Allenton United recorded a 6-0 win at Ashover.

Nathan Sandar hit a brace while Danny O’Connell, Ryan O’Connor, Patrick McBean and Michael Tristram were all on target for United.

Dave Bullivant scored for Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure but it was in a 4-1 home defeat inflicted by Matlock Sports.

Paul Brookes and Liam Orme scored for Chellaston as they beat Mickleover RBL 2-0.

Holbrook St Michaels chalked up a 2-1 home win over Willington. Chris Saunders and Josh Johnson scoring the Holbrook goals.

Derby Royals were held to a goalless draw at home by Newmount.

In division one, Ripley Town shook off five successive defeats to beat Derbyshire Amateurs 3-2 at Greenwich. Steve Bayliss, Dan Cummings and Liam Allen all on target.

Derby Singh Brothers beat Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves 3-1.

Three home teams failed to score in division one.

Little Eaton went down 3-0 at home to Woolley Moor United, Mickleover RBL Reserves lost 4-0 at home to Rowsley ‘86 Reserves and Pastures who fell at home by the same scoreline to Findern.

Allestree did score twice, through an own goal and one from Gareth Annable, but they lost 4-2 to Bargate Rovers.

Punjab United beat Holbrook St Michaels Reserves 4-1.

Only one team failed to score in the first round of the Junior Cup, ironically it was Punjab United Reserves, beaten 2-0 by Ambergate.

One of the biggest names in local fooball, Borman Hacisalihoglu, scored for Bargate Rovers Reserves as they beat Roe Farm 3-2. Josh Nottinger and Paul Fowler scored the other goals for Rovers.

Chellaston Reserves lost 3-1 to Allenton United Reserves, Nial Worrall netting for the hosts, Russ Lloyd (2) and Elliott Buxton for United.

One of the day’s big scores was at in-form Newton where they beat Hilton Harriers 7-0.

Lewis Bramley hit a hat-trick, Phil Liddell and Scott Vardey notched two.

Mackworth St Francis also scored seven as they triumphed 7-1 at Wirksworth Town Reserves for whom Matt Redshaw was on target.

Derby Royals Reserves had Ashley Dale on target but they slipped to a 4-1 home defeat against visitors Pastures Reserves.

Melbourne Dynamoes Reserves had a goal apiece from Jack Havron and Farrell Scott to thank for a 2-0 home win over Wirksworth Ivanhoe.
