FC Heanor heaped even more pressure on Derby Taverners Sunday Football League Intermediate Division Two leaders Florence Nightingale after another gritty win.
This time they beat Cue Ball Reserves 4-1.
Nathan Poyser rose like a salmon in the first half to head in direct from a FC Heanor corner which set them on their way. In the second half, as Heanor pushed for their second, Cue Ball pulled back level after a mix-up at the back.
Fc Heanor showed their class after seeing a penalty shout being waved away after Stephen Guilor was felled in the Cue Ball box. They rolled up their sleeves and turned up the heat. Leading goalscorer Jay West then saw everything he touched turn to gold as, in an amazing 25-minute spell, he scored a hat-trick, first with his head, followed closely with two from his favoured right foot.
This fine win secured another three points for FC Heanor, who are chasing a league and cup double this year.
