Codnor Boys u15s continued their 100 per cent start to the campaign with a thumping 12-1 win at local rivals Stanton Ilkeston.
Jack Webster opened the scoring on ten minutes, racing onto a through-ball before calmly stroking the ball into the bottom corner.
On 18 minutes, Josh Soar doubled the lead, firing across the keeper. Minutes later, Stanton scored to make it 2-1. Almost immediately, Soar got his second, rounding the keeper before firing into the empty net. Three minutes later, it was 4-1, when Heappey cut in before curling a shot into the far top corner.
On 31 minutes, Carlin raced through, before it was 6-1 with Webster again on the scoresheet. On the stroke of half-time, it was 7-1, with Soar completing his second hat-trick of the season. After the break, it was more of the same, as, eight minutes into the half, Wood drove in a long-range shot. On 54 minutes, Grainger made it 9-1, capping a fine display with a low drive. Six minutes later it was 10-1, when Wilmot scored.
With 12 minutes remaining, Atkin got on the scoresheet, firing in from close range. On 72 minutes, the final goal was scored when Callum James lobbed the goalkeeper from 25 yards on his competitive debut.
Next week sees a massive game for the club, with Sandiacre Town the visitors to Kilburn Welfare in the Challenge Trophy.
