Rowsley ’86 maintained their unbeaten start to the Midlands Regional Alliance Premier Division campaign by taking the spoils from a hard-fought local derby at Cromford.

Sam Hoskin put the visitors ahead with a long-range effort early in the game, and despite a spirited display from Cromford, a Tim Baker free-kick ensured Rowsley finished 2-0 victors.

In Division One, Ambergate replaced Rowsley at the top of the table after Richard West (two), Josh Squires (two) and Sam Hicking were on target in a 5-0 win against Ripley Town, while Derby Rolls Royce Leisure Reserves and Wirksworth Ivanhoe deadlocked at two goals apiece.

Stapleford Town made it three wins from three in Division Two after Shaun Shepherd and Aaron Beckford scored the goals in a 2-0 win over Wirksworth Town Reserves.

Roe Farm picked up their second victory of the season after James Iyapo grabbed the winner in a 2-1 win at Bargate Rovers Reserves.

The weekend also saw three Challenge Cup ties take place, with Woolley Moor United Reserves through to the next round after a 3-1 win at Little Eaton Reserves. Melbourne Dynamo Reserves joined them after Ben Stanley (2) and Ryan Monk scored in a 3-2 win over Ambergate Reserves.
