Belper United will start the new CML South campaign tomorrow (Saturday), and this season will be playing their home games at Belper Town’s Christchurch Meadow for the first time.
Saturday sees an away trip to Mickleover RBL to start the season, but the first game at the new home is a clash on Wednesday, August 14, against local rivals Holbrook St Michaels (7.45pm kick off).
Belper United’s Phill Alcock said: “It’s exciting times for the club, the facilities at Christchurch Meadow are second to none and the pitch is well renowned for being one of the best in the area.
“We are hoping it will give us the springboard needed for success in the league, and we are also in the FA Vase for the first time in the club’s history.
“Everyone at the club now is gearing up for success and it looks like we now have the squad to match those ambitions. We have also a major new sponsorship deal from local global company Vaillant.
“Last year was the club’s most successful year, the first team finished in third place and the reserves won the League and Cup Double. Wednesday will be a historic day for the club and with it being a local derby hopefully a decent crowd can be expected.”
Entrance is £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.
Season tickets are also available at £50 for adults and £20 concessions.
