Cromford and Rowsley clash ends up all-square

WITH Premier Division leaders Allenton United being without a game, the chance was there for the chasing teams to close the points gap.

In the event however, the battle between second-placed Cromford and third-placed Rowsley ‘86 finished all-square at 3-3 and did neither of the sides any real favours.

Danny Wildgoose, Kyle Johnson and Adam Kay got the Cromford goals.

Chellaston added to the Holbrook St Michaels woes by beating them 2-0 thanks to goals from Paul Brookes and Ryan Fitzhugh.

Melbourne Dynamo kept their season alive with a 3-2 win over Newmount in which Paul Swallow hit a brace and Danny Guild one for the Dynamo.

Swanwick Pentrich Road are back on the goals trail and they beat visitors to Highfield Road, Willington, 3-2.

Danny Ball, Guy Wilding and Chris Bradley got the Swans goals.

Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure beat bottom markers Sandiacre Town 1-0.

Division One

Allestree took over the leadership of division one after winning 8-1 at Rowsley ‘86 Reserves. Cooper got the Rowsley goal.

Findern had a Dan Stanley goal to thank for their 1-0 home win over Bargate Rovers while HolbrookSt Michaels Reserves went down 2-1 to Woolley Moor United, Charlie Bangora scoring for the Saints.

Pastures and Derbyshire Amateurs drew 1-1 with Sam Cudworth on target for Pastures.

A top-of-the-table clash in division two saw Melbourne Dynamo Reserves win 3-2 at Mackworth St Francis with Jack Tivey scoring the last minute winner for Melbourne.

Jack Havron scored the other two Melbourne goals while Ben Ormond and Matthew Edwards scored for Mackworth.

In the other division two game played, Ravi Talwar scored for Punjag United Reserves who crashed 6-1 to Derby Royals Reserves.

Penalties were needed to settle the Junior Cup fourth round tie between Tibshelf and Derby Singh Brothers.

Tibshelf won 4-3 on penalties after the tie had finished 2-2 after extra time.

Damien Wilkinson and Gary Wilkinson scored for Tibshelf in open play.

Only Pastures Reserves won through in the fourth round of the Derbyshire County FA Junior Cup (South) as they beat Little Eaton Reserves 3-2, Dan LIddle and Daniel Buckley scoring for Little Eaton.

Elsewhere, Chellaston Reserves lost 4-0 to AFC Riddings Rovers and Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure Reserves lost 5-2 to Ilkeston Rutland after extra time.
