Alfreton Town climbed to 14th in the Blue Square Bet Premier with a comfortable 3-0 home win over relegation-threatened Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday night.
Three changes from the Tamworth draw saw Jordan Rose make his debut on loan from AFC Telford United as cover for injured defender Darran Kempson, while Steven Hewitt replaced Nathan Arnold and Paul Clayton started in preference to Scott Boden.
Dan Bradley led the way with a 14th minute penalty after Ebbsfleet skipper Paul Lorraine had impeded Clayton from a Bradley cross, then three minutes later Clayton fired wide from eight yards from a Louie Soares delivery.
Liam Enver-Marum tested home keeper Jordan Pickford from the edge of the area on 20 minutes, then four minutes later Matt Godden struck the foot of the post for the Kent side.
Alfreton led 2-0 after 28 minutes when Clayton’s cross was guided past his own keeper by Ebbsfleet defender Paul Walsh with Ben Tomlinson in close attention.
It was 3-0 on 71 minutes when Rose celebrated his first game by slotting home from eight yards after Law’s corner had bobbled around the box.
