Allenton goal go crazy with an 11-1 thrashing

THE writing was surely on the wall for struggling Chellaston when Sam Blount bagged a hat-trick in 30 minutes for Allenton United in last Saturday’s Premier Division clash.

And worse was to follow for Chellaston as Danny Briscoe scored with an overhead kick to make it 8-0 at the interval.

The visitors improved in the second half but Allenton still ran out 11-1 winners.

Adding to Blount’s hat-trick, Briscoe, Shaun Roberts and Steve O’Donnell all scored a brace in the win with Mick Meehan and Nathan Sandar both adding one to the total.

Cromford had a hat-trick hero in Danny Wildgoose as they beat Sandiacre Town 5-0, Craig Spencer and Phil Ward got the other goals.

There were no goals at all in the draw between Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure and Swanwick Pentrich Road and only two shared equally between Holbrook St Michaels and Wirksworth Town in their game.

Melbourne Dynamo beat Ashover 4-1 with Alex Slater, Dave Brough, John Mills and Matt Bryan on target.

Dick Thorpe scored the Selston goal in a 1-1 home draw with Matlock Sports while Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure Reserves went down 3-1 at home to Allestree. Luke Hampson netted the Royces goal.

A Richard Warbey hat-trick plus a goal from Dhuinder Aitan helped Derby Singh Brothers consolidate top spot in Division Two after a 4-1 win over Wirksworth Ivanhoe.

Ambergate lost 4-0 to Mickleover RBL Reserves while Punjab United lost 4-3 to Hilton Harriers.

Ben Dale scored the Melbourne Dynamo Reserves goal as they went down 4-1 at home to Selston Reserves, Steve Smith hitting a hat-trick for the winners.

Sandiacre Town Reserves lost ground on the leaders after bottom markers Pastures Reserves held them to a 2-2 draw.

Junior Cup

It was quarter final day in the Junior Cup and Woolley Moor United came from behind to beat Little Eaton 2-1.

Mathoon and Ben Cressey scored for Woolley Moor and Adrian Wraith for Little Eaton.

Belper United Reserves had to go to penalties to beat Punjab United after the match had ended at 3-3 after extra time.

Mike Smith (2) and Scott Slater scored for Belper in normal play before they won through 5-4 on penalties.

Josh Gregory, Chris Martin and Troy Black scored for Derby Royals as they won 3-1 against Pastures.
