ALFRETON Town are set to have their biggest backing of away fans for years at this Saturday’s FA Trophy local derby at Mansfield Town.
The Reds have already sold 800 tickets so far for Saturday’s testing tie at their Blue Square Bet Premier Division neighbours.
The figure of 804 which Alfreton took to Scunthorpe United for their FA Cup second round tie on November 2009 looks likely to be easily beaten as the Reds aim for a place in the last eight of the national competitiohn.
The club have just over 100 tickets left which can be purchased up until 12 noon on Saturday from the Impact Arena.
However, if demand is big over the next couple of days, Mansfield Town have informed the Reds that up to 300 more tickets are available for away supporters if necessary but only through Alfreton Town’s official outlets.
Tickets for the game are priced at £12 for adults, £6 concessions and £2 for under-7s but only if accompanied by a paying adult.
Alfreton fans can purchase tickets either by calling in at the Impact Arena between 1pm and 6pm from Wednesday, February 2nd, to Friday, February 4th inclusive. Reds fans should note ticket sales at the ground are by cash only.
Alternatively, tickets can be ordered by contacting the ticket hotline on 01159 392090 extension 107 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, Wednesday to Friday of this week.
Telephone orders can now be purchased by credit card only but supporters can arrange to collect their tickets at the Impact Arena on Saturday from 9am to noon if they wish to ensure safe delivery.
The departure time for four double-decker buses which are running to the game is 1.30pm from the Impact Arena.
The fare is £3 return each, no concessions, with the coaches returning to Alfreton straight after the game. Please note, seats must be booked in advance for the coaches.
Club shop open
The Reds club shop will also be open prior to the game from 12 noon until 1.15pm to make sure you show your colours with Reds scarves, hats and badges for the game.
Should the Mansfield Town game require a replay, this will be staged at the Impact Arena next Tuesday evening (Feb 8) with a 7.45pm kick-off.
If there is a result at Field Mill on Saturday, Alfreton will finally return to Blue Square Bet North league action with a trip to Harrogate Town on Tuesday evening.
Supporters’ Association transport for that game will depart at 5pm and seats can be booked via Mark Thorpe on 01773 836251.
