It was a game of two centuries for Denby CC 1sts on Saturday at Eckington as they earned their fourth draw in four Derbyshire Premier League games this season.
The star of the batting show for Denby was all-rounder Peter Burgoyne who hit a spectacular knock of 154 not out.
In fact all four of the Denby batsmen who made it to the crease made good contribtions in a commanding total of 309-2.
Openers Alexander Eyre (26) and Cameron Bancroft (59) put on 61 for the first wicket, before Burgoyne strode to the crease and set about the Eckington bowling with gusto.
He hit seven four and ten sixes in his 107-ball innings and was ably supported by Michael Mitchell with 46 not out.
Burgoyne also took two wickets with his off spin as Eckington managed to secure a draw, eventually closing on 237-6 off 50 overs.
