Derbyshire CCC have made an excellent start to their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign with back-to-back wins over the weekend.
On Saturday, Derbyshire made a commanding total of 340-5 against visitors Hampshire and then dismissed them for 204 to win by a large margin of 136 runs.
Wes Durston made 134 and skipper Wayne Madsen 138, combining for a third-wicket stand of 222.
David Wainwright then took 4-34 to help bowl Derbyshire to victory.
On Sunday, they followed this up by beating hosts Leicestershire by seven wickets.
Leicestershire made 248-8 as Mark Footitt took five wickets.
Madsen then starred again, making 105 not out and he was aided by Shivnarine Chanderpaul’s 52 not out as they got home by seven wickets.
