Amber Valley council is inviting people to comment on a document which will shape the future of the borough with a sereies of meetings.
The council descibes its draft core strategy as “Part 1 of a new Local Plan for Amber Valley” which includes a “range of policies and proposals designed to promote growth, whilst protecting and enhancing the local environment”.
Comments are open until August 23. The documents are available to view on the council’s website and at these locations during normal opening hours: Ripley Town Hall (First Floor Reception), Alfreton Library, Alfreton Cash Office, Heanor Library, Heanor Cash Office and Somercotes Library.
Comments can be made by using the online form on the council website, and forms are also available. Council officers will be available to hear views and answer questions at Ripley Leisure Centre, Derby Road, Ripley, on Friday July 12; Christian Centre, Hall Street, Alfreton, on Monday, July 15; the Community Centre, Wilmot Street, Heanor on Thursday, July 18.
Cllr Liz Bowley, the council’s deputy leader, said: “I would encourage everyone to use this opportunity to read our policies and proposals and to feedback their opinions to us.”
