A WOMAN has been was killed in a car crash in Selston.
The car she was travelling incame off the road and hit a tree at Langton Hollows on Saturday night instantly killing 42-year-old Vicki Dorman.
A 35-year-old man, who was also in the Subaru Impreza is in hospital with head and arm injuries and is said to be in a ‘serious but stable’ condition.
Ms Dorman, of Winter Closes, Underwood, was said to be a ‘lovely’ woman who kept horses in a field behind her property.
Underwood resident and councillor Penny fell said: “I didn’t really know her very well, but she seemed like a lovely woman.”
Ms Dorman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man, also from Underwood, was taken to the Kingsmill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield before being moved to the Queen’s Medical centre in Nottingham.
The police forensic collision investigation unit is carrying out work to determine exactly how the driver came to lose control and officers want to trace a car traveling near to the pair.
