A 15 year-old boy has received a final warning from police for being in possession of alcohol.
The boy was caught with booze three times in a year by officers in West Hallam.
Pc Russell Crooks from Ilkeston Rural Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We take anti-social behaviour very seriously as it has a large effect on the community and local residents.
“If this individual is stopped again and is found to be in possession of alcohol he will appear in court where the maximum fine for this offence is £500.
“Alcohol plays a part in most of the anti-social behaviour that is reported and I would like to stress to youngsters that you do not need to drink alcohol to enjoy yourself. Teenagers ignoring the warnings issues may find themselves facing a hefty fine.”
