STOP taking risks on the road – that’s the message Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership is sending to road users during Road Safety Week
Partnership chairman Mike Ashworth said: “We want people to use Road Safety Week as an opportunity to break any bad habits they may have got into.
“In today’s busy world it’s all too easy to take risks - whether it’s letting your driving speed creep up above the limit or trying to cross the road between two parked cars.”
Mike added: “We’re encouraging people to think about the consequences of their actions. It’s not worth risking lives to save a few minutes - our motto is ‘Better late than never’.”
Road Safety Week is organised by the charity Brake. For more information log on to www.roadsafetyweek.org.
