Temperatures are set to plummet below freezing across the East Midlands this week.

Weather forecasters Meteogroup say that temperatures as low as -4°C are expected across the region.

A spokesman said: “Temperatures will drop below the seasonal average over the next few days.

“It is going to be mostly dry with sunshine during the day and clear spells at night.”

There will be highs of 4°C and lows of -4°C.

This comes after a weekend of snow across the East Midlands.
