It was the week a murder trial was taking place at Nottingham Crown Court and an inquest into three tragic deaths was being held in Derby.

In Waingroves, the annual show was hailed a run-away success and in business news a scheme to give shoppers some of the money back on their parking was aiming to boost Ripley’s fortunes.
